ORDERS OPEN FOR WASHINGTON CO. FALL PLANT SALE
The Washington County Extension Horticulture Committee is accepting orders for its annual Fall Plant Sale.
The committee will have various cool season plants for sale, including arugula, bok choy, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, collard greens, kale, lettuce, mustard greens, spinach and swiss chard.
Plants are $2.50 per four-pack. Proceeds from the sale will go toward the youth of Washington County by supporting scholarships awarded by the Horticulture Committee. The scholarships are granted to qualified graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in agriculture.
Orders can be placed online at https://washcohort.square.site. All orders must be paid for in full when placed.
The deadline to submit orders is Tuesday, September 21st. Plants will be available for drive-thru pick-up on Wednesday, October 7th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Washington County Expo.
