BURTON HIGH SCHOOL HOLDS SUCCESSFUL “MEET THE PANTHERS” NIGHT
A big crowd came out to the Burton High School Gym on Monday night for the annual "Meet the Panthers Night" celebration.
As part of the festivities, State Senator Lois Kolkhorst read a Senate proclamation recognizing the 2026 Burton Panther Baseball Team for winning the second state championship in school history and the first in 39 years.
Kolkhorst told each of the teams that she would love to see them all win state championships this upcoming school year.
"Meet the Panthers Night" recognized the fall sports such as football, volleyball, and cross country along with the cheerleaders and the Burton High School Band.
The school year begins tomorrow (Wednesday). The Burton Panther Football Team opens the season on Friday, August 28, at home against Thorndale beginning at 7pm.
