WASHINGTON CO. MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION WELCOMES STUDENTS BACK TO SCHOOL

  

The Washington County Ministerial Association (WCMA) greeted students, parents, teachers and administrators on the first day of school at Brenham and Burton ISDs.

Members of the association gave out hugs and high fives, along with donuts, as a way to welcome back kids and the school community.

WCMA President and former Alton Elementary School principal Calvin Kossie said the pastors and churches of Washington County cover the schools daily in prayer, but they know the importance of showing up at the schools on the first day, as it can bring students smiles and reduce anxiety.  He said they are grateful to the superintendents and school boards for the privilege to serve.
