INVESTIGATION ACTIVE AFTER STOLEN SKID STEER RECOVERED IN CLAY AREA

  

The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the recovery of a stolen skid steer.

According to the sheriff’s office, the report of the stolen rental skid steer came in on Tuesday.  It is owned by the company EquipmentShare and was last seen on Saturday parked at the intersection of County Road 443 and FM 50, in the Clay area. 

Using GPS tracking data provided by the rental company, the sheriff’s office located the skid steer in a wooded area on private property in the Clay community.  The skid steer was stated to be visible from the road. 

After a search warrant was obtained and executed, the equipment was positively identified by matching identification numbers and returned to the rental company without damage.   

The sheriff’s office said its investigation remains ongoing.  No suspects have been identified.
