AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TO DISCUSS IMPROVEMENTS WEDNESDAY

  

The Brenham Airport Advisory Board will be discussing a number of possible improvements to the Brenham Airport at their meeting Wednesday.

On the agenda for the meeting, the board will look at cost estimates to remove the waviness in the north end of the runway.  The waviness is becoming a safety issue for aircraft using runway 16.  Board members will also look at upgrades the runway lighting, drainage issues, and possible 3 phase power for the airport.

Also on the agenda, board members will consider a possible land lease for the south end of the airport for the construction of a hanger with the option of installing fuel tanks.  Board members will also discuss future needs and development at Brenham’s airport.

Brenham’s Airport Board serves an advisory role to the City Council and looks at ways to improve the facilities and services at the airport.  The Airport Advisory Board meets Wednesday at 5:30 PM at the Brenham Airport.
