BISD TO CELEBRATE “PUBLIC SCHOOLS WEEK”

  

The Brenham ISD is celebrating the first public school district in Texas, as part of Texas Public Schools Week, later this month.

All parents and community members are invited to help celebrate by visiting any Brenham ISD campus the week of February 26 – thru – March 2nd.

Donuts with Dads and Muffins with Moms will begin at 7:30 in the library. Please bring your ID and check in with the front office when you arrive.

You are invited to send a special note of thanks to former and current teachers on Thursday, March 1 for “Thank a Teacher Thursday.”

  1. Do you think your children are safe at school? They ARE NOT !!! As an employee in BISD for 15 years I can tell you I’m terrified to go to work most days. The recent national events at schools (Sandy Hook, Florida High School) have to be a wake up call to us all !! We will NEVER prevent these events from happening, all we can do is BE PREPARED, and right now we are not !!
    Only one armed officer at the High School ??? The high school has 1500+ occupants everyday.
    This is not acceptable at sporting events, weddings, ect, ect…..They have monthly fire drills to prepare for such an event but never have training or drills to prepare for “active shooter” events.
    Mass Chaos would ensue !!! Immediate training and preparedness are needed ASAP to protect our children and faculty !!!!!!!!
