interesting. I hope they all communicate their interests in running for a Board position. In my twelve years with Burton ISD, I worked David Warner when he served on the Burton ISD Board. Mr. Warner was on the Board after the bond election of 2008 and during some of the construction. During that time he was very involved in the design and the materials used in the buildings. Mr. Warner was a major supporter of extra-curricular activities. Many times he contributed to providing funds for Ag, Athletics and Band. He supported pay raises for staff.
I have known Mr. Ripple for several years. He built small buildings and display cases for Burton schools. Many times he would charge only for materials and donate his time. Mr. Ripple is a life time Burton resident. He was able to provide great insight on several occasions.
All candidates have their good qualifications but attending school events and getting to know what’s going on in school is very important.
