BURTON BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO HOLD SPECIAL SESSION MONDAY

  

The Burton Board of Trustees will meet in executive session on Monday to consult with an attorney regarding pending matters.

Also in executive session, the Board will discuss personnel, as well as district safety and security.  Once out of executive session, they will take action on the matters discussed.

The Board will also consider an additional Pre-K position, and look at the duties and discipline of a public officer.  In addition, they will openly discuss district safety and security.

This Monday’s meeting had a large crowd, openly frustrated with how complaints were being handled.  Many came forward during open forum and aired concerns about discipline and other issues at the school.

The next Board meeting will be held next Monday at 5:30 p.m., at the Administration Office of the Burton Independent School District, 701 North Railroad Street.
