MAN ARRESTED AFTER ATTACKING GRANDMOTHER

  

A Kentucky man is in custody in Fayette County after his arrest for allegedly assaulting his grandmother.

Sheriff Keith Korenk says deputies were called Monday morning to a home in the West Point area of Fayette County, to a report of that 31-year Bryan Raymond Cook Jr. had assaulted his grandmother and had threatened to kill her.

At the home, deputies say they found Cook hiding in a bedroom closet.

Also found at the residence were and AR Rifle; a handgun; marijuana; drug paphernalia and ammunition.

Cook was charged with Injury to the Elderly with Intent to Commit Bodily Injury; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; and Possession of Marijuana.
