LIFELONG FAN, BRENHAM RESIDENT LORA QUEBE HONORED AT ASTROS GAME

A lifelong Brenham resident and Astros fan was recognized at a recent ball game in Houston.
Lora Quebe, who passed away Saturday just days after her 104th birthday, had a message appear throughout the stadium in last (Tuesday) night’s game between the Astros and the Minnesota Twins.
The message read: “In loving memory of our oldest Astros fan, Lora Quebe; 1915-2019; Brenham, Texas”.
The Astros were victorious in their effort over the Twins Tuesday night, topping them 10-4.

Family members said Quebe loved all sports, especially the Houston Astros and Texans. They said she would never miss an Astros’ game on television or the radio, and was personally delivered several Astros’ jerseys by the organization after their 2017 World Series victory.
Visitation for Quebe is 5 to 7 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill.
