TOWN HALL ON FUTURE OF BRENHAM TUESDAY
The community is invited this upcoming Tuesday to the Barnhill Center in Brenham for further discussion on the city’s future.
A town hall meeting to gather input for updates to the city’s comprehensive and thoroughfare plans will be held Tuesday afternoon from 5:15 to 7 p.m. Door prizes and snacks will be offered.
The goal of the town hall is to gather feedback on concepts and specific elements of Brenham’s future, including public utilities and infrastructure, land use and development, economic opportunities, parks and recreation, and other topics.
In September of 2018, the Brenham City Council approved an agreement with planning consultant Kendig Keast Collaborative to develop a comprehensive plan update.
The city has held several public input meetings regarding updates to the plan, the most recent of which being the one held at the Barnhill Center February 28th. A moderate crowd attended, but inclement weather that evening may have kept more people from attending.
At January 10th’s town hall meeting, citizens packed the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library to offer their feedback on the plan.
