BRENHAM, WASHINGTON CO. OFFICES CLOSED FOR LABOR DAY
Offices in Brenham and Washington County will be closed Monday, in celebration of Labor Day.
Brenham City Hall and the Washington County Courthouse will be closed, in addition to municipal court, the recycling center, and the collection station. The Blue Bell Aquatic Center, Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, and pet adoption and animal services will also be closed.
The Brenham and Washington County Visitor Center will be open Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will not be any residential trash pick-up services Monday, but commercial services will continue as normal.
In addition, Brenham and Burton ISD’s will not have class on Monday.
Labor Day is also a holiday for non-essential state and federal offices, including the United States Postal Service. This year marks the 125th anniversary of Labor Day, which was declared a national holiday in 1894.
