KENNY HEWETT SENTENCED TO 20 YEARS IN DEATH OF HAZANA ANDERSON

One of the suspects in the death of one-year-old Hazana Anderson of Bryan has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
According to the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, Kenny Hewett was sentenced to 20 years as part of a plea agreement, on a charge of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair a Human Corpse. As part of the agreement, Hewett gave up his right to appeal the sentence.
Investigators say Hewett, along with Hazana’s mother, TiAundra Christon, fatally beat the child at a Houston-area motel last year before disposing of her body in a Texas City lake.
