FUNDRAISER FOR CARRIE BOZARTH’S CANCER MEDICAL EXPENSES SATURDAY IN BURTON

  

A special event to support a Burton woman battling cancer is set for this weekend in Burton.

A fundraiser for Carrie Bozarth will be held Saturday at the Burton American Legion Community Center from 4 to 7 p.m.  A barbecue pork meal with all the trimmings, catered by Sandtown Catering, will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.  There will also be a drawing, along with live and silent auctions.

Sue Pinkerton, who is helping organize the event, says the live auction has quite a few desirable items.

 

Dine-in or drive-through tickets are $10.  Meals can also be picked up from 4 to 5 p.m. at Jackson Street Park, for Brenham residents with tickets marked for pick-up at the park.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward Bozarth’s cancer medical expenses.  A special account has also been set up at Burton State Bank, for anyone wishing to contribute.
