GRIMES CO. FAIR CANCELS RODEO EVENTS, CURRENT MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT
The Grimes County Fair is currently set to get underway in just under a month’s time, but this year’s fair is going to have some significant changes.
Last week, the Grimes County Fair Association’s Board of Directors met and approved the cancellation of all rodeo events, the PeeWee Show, and Senior Citizen Day at the fair, scheduled for May 27th through June 6th. The current music entertainment lineup has also been cancelled, although the board plans to re-evaluate this at a later date.
Livestock events are scheduled to continue, with potential procedural modifications to be announced at a later date. This also includes the creative arts and ag mechanics shows.
In addition, the pre-sale of all fair passes has been discontinued, with a refund policy to be announced.
