CALIFORNIA MAN SENTENCED IN BRENHAM DISTRICT COURT

A California man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison in the latest edition of 21st District Court in Brenham.
44-year old John Alvin Ross, II, of Lancaster, California, was sentenced after a guilty plea to Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance – a First Degree Felony.
He was also sentenced to 17 months on a charge of Possession of between four ounces and five pounds of Marijuana.
Ross was arrested by local authorities in April of last year.
Also sentenced this week:
30-year old Demontreal Duonne Edmond of Chappell Hill, had his probation revoked and was sentenced to eight years for a 2010 conviction for Burglary of Habitation – a Second Degree Felony.
28-year old Eric Christopher Dillard of Copperhill, Tennessee, was sentenced to six year in prison for Continuous Violence Against the Family – a Third Degree Felony.
39-year old John Cody Lowe of Bellville, was sentenced to three years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance – a Third Degree Felony.
60-year old Terrell Duane Nickerson of Brenham had his probation revoked for a 2017 conviction for Possession of a Controlled Substance – enhanced to Third Degree Felony. Nickerson was sentenced to two-and-a-half years and fined $1500.
39-year old Glen Randall Newton, Jr. of Humble, sentenced to 15 months in jail for Theft of Property Between $2,500 - $30,000 – a State Jail Felony.
39-year old Tonya Danelle Chacaga of Hempstead, sentenced to six months in jail for Theft of Property/Less than $2,500, with two or More Previous Convictions – a State Jail Felony.
44-year old Brad Zell Bishop of North Zulch, placed on three years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony. He was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours community service.
48-year old Waymon Earl Jones of Houston, placed on three years’ probation for Possession of Controlled Substance – a State Jail Felony. He was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours community service.
48-year Michelle Smith Jackson of Brenham, placed on five years’ probation for Hinder Apprehension/Prosecution Known Felon – a Third Degree Felony. She was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 200 hours community service.
