HISTORIC LOCAL BRIDGES FEATURED IN BLUEBONNET ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE ARTICLE

(Mark Whitehead)
Several historic bridges in Washington County and surrounding counties are the subject of a recent article by Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.
The article, titled “Spans of Time,” highlights the history of bridges around the cooperative's service region, such as the Henderson Park bridge in Brenham and the Meadow Creek Lane covered bridge near Chappell Hill.
The story also explains the origins of bridges like Dime Box’s Black Bridge, the Birch Creek bridge near Lake Somerville State Park, and the old railroad bridge in West Point in Fayette County.
The article can be seen online at www.bluebonnetelectric.coop, and in the latest issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine.
