BURTON POWERLIFTERS COMPETE AT BRAZOS INVITATIONAL
The Burton Panthers Powerlifting team traveled to Brazos High School for their only invitational meet of the season.
The Panthers had to withdraw from their previously scheduled meet due to Covid concerns.
The lifters were given three attempts at each of the three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift.
Eric Flores, a junior, placed 4th in his weight class with a combined lift total of 1060 pounds. Joining him in the competition were freshmen Keegan Harrison and Patrick Tavary. Harrison finished the meet with a combined lift total of 705 pounds and Tavery with an even 600 pounds.
The Panthers await final tabulation of meet results to learn if they qualified for the Regional Meet in Lumberton.
