BRENHAM PLANNING AND ZONING TO DISCUSS PLAT REQUESTS FOR MANUFACTURED HOME PARK

  

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Friday to hear a pair of public hearing items.

The commission will consider replat and final plat requests concerning a manufactured home park located next to 2001 FM 389.

The property owner, Sandalwood Brenham Partners, LLC, wishes to remove an estimated 3.2 acre portion of the lot and plat it separately, allowing for approximately 9.12 acres to be used for a future manufactured home development.

In addition, the property owner is seeking approval of a final plat of the Sandalwood Subdivision.  The subject 19.89 acres of land, which would include the separated 3.2 acre portion, would be developed as an extension of the manufactured home park.  Approval of a final plat is required for future development.  City staff recommends approval of the requests.

Commissioners will also hold a work session to hear an update on the proposed historical preservation ordinance, which is being designed to create a decorum in the community where historical preservation is considered a social and economic asset.

The commission will meet Friday at noon at Brenham City Hall.
