SHINYRIBS TO BRING UNIQUE SHOW TO BARNHILL CENTER, JUNE 12

The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre is set to host the popular Shinyribs, Saturday, June 12 at 8 p.m.

The concert will follow downtown Brenham’s annual Summer Sip and Art Walk, which will be held from 3 to 7 p.m.

Sharon Brass, of The Barnhill Center, says “Shinyribs is the perfect finale for a fun day downtown,” delivering “pure, outrageous fun!”

The unique Shinyribs music mixes authentic Texas/New Orleans funky soul and blues with country twang and even some Doo-Wop, reminiscent of old-school 60’s rock and roll.

The band has released four albums and the latest, “I Got Your Medicine,” was named Album of the Year at the Houston Chronicle’s prestigious Music Awards.

In mid-2017 the Austin American-Statesman named Willie Nelson and Shinyribs as “the year’s top local performers so far.” Many additional publications have praised Shinyribs for their contributions to the industry and their “exhilarating” performances.

“This is a time when we can all use a little musical release,” said Brass. “This show will free you from your cares, touch your funny bone, move your body, and leave you with a huge grin on your face.”
