‘IRIS’ NAMED PET OF THE WEEK

  

The Brenham Pet Adoption Center has named “Iris” as its Pet of the Week.

Iris is a spayed female hound mix who Brenham Animal Services staff say is a few years old.  Staff say Iris came to the shelter as a nursing mom with no puppies in sight, so she is currently recovering and adding some weight to her thin frame.  She is also heartworm positive.

Iris has proven to be a staff favorite with lots of love and hugs, and is learning to sit for treats.  She is also getting along well with other dogs, and enjoys playing with a variety of toys.
