ART DAY, FLOATS N’ FLICKS THURSDAY AT BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER

  

The Blue Bell Aquatic Center has many activities in store today (Thursday) as part of National Aquatic Week.

Today is Art Day, so from 1 to 5 p.m., the aquatic center will offer bubble art, coconut bowling and squirt gun painting.

In addition, events from Monday’s Safety Day that had to be rescheduled due to a forecast of rain, including an appearance from the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, will take place today.

KTEX-106’s Tracey Lawless will be at the aquatic center this afternoon for Art Day, broadcasting live from the KTEX Country Cruiser and offering spins of the Wagon Wheel of Prizes.

Tonight, the “Floats n’ Flicks” summer movie series, which was also postponed due to weather, will kick off with “Trolls World Tour,” sponsored by The Kids Klub of Brenham’s First Baptist Church.

Gates to the aquatic center open at 8 p.m., and the movie will begin 10 minutes after sunset.  Guests will need to bring a float in order to be in the pool during the movie.
