HOUSTON MEN ARRESTED FOLLOWING BRENHAM TRAFFIC STOP

  

 

A Brenham traffic stop has led to the arrest of two Houston men on multiple charges, including drugs and firearms.

Wednesday, just before noon, Brenham Police pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation, in the area of US 290 East and Wonder Hill Road.

Officers say they could smell burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

A probable cause search turned up multiple narcotics and firearms.

The driver, 29-year-old Christopher Gonzales of Houston and passenger, 28-year-old Miguel Hernandez, also of Houston, were both arrested.

Gonzales was charged with five counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

Hernandez was charged with five counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.

The two were taken to the Washington County Jail.
