RESIDENTIAL HOUSING NEEDS ASSESSMENT NOW AVAILABLE TO TAKE
A residential housing needs survey is now available for Washington County residents to take.
The survey is being conducted by Brenham | Washington County Economic Development in partnership with Community Development Strategies (CDS), a Houston-based company specializing in professional market and economic research.
City of Brenham officials say the survey and the needs assessment will help the city’s public agencies and the housing development industry better understand the community’s present housing situation.
The results of the survey will be made available to the general public and community leaders, and could lead to policy changes and potential new housing choices for the community and its workforce.
The survey is funded by the Brenham Community Development Corporation (BCDC). The contract with CDS is $23,500, plus expenses not to exceed $1,250.
The survey is for people employed in Washington County only, and can be completed via paper form or online at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library. It can also be done through the link here, or by contacting Brenham Economic Development Specialist Erica Warren at ewarren@cityofbrenham.org.
Anyone interested in being entered for a chance to win a YETI cooler will have the option to provide a cellphone number to be notified by text at the end of the survey. The survey is otherwise anonymous and confidential, and all information collected will be displayed in aggregate only.
