WASHINGTON CO. 4-H LIVESTOCK JUDGING TEAM TAKES THIRD AT NATIONALS
TEAM EARNS TRIP TO SCOTLAND FOR ROYAL HIGHLAND SHOW IN JUNE 2022
The Washington County 4-H Livestock Judging Team has placed among the top finishers in a national competition.

The team of Chet Fritsch, Waylon Hinze, Weston Hinze and Tanna Thiel placed as third high team overall on Tuesday at the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest in Louisville, Kentucky.
The team awards include a second place finish in sheep and goat evaluation, as well as fourth place in both swine evaluation and cattle evaluation.
Waylon Hinze and Tanna Thiel were crowned as All-Americans, and ranked sixth and eighth overall high point individuals in the contest.
Other individual awards include Waylon Hinze winning high point individual in sheep and goat evaluation. In the cattle species, Waylon Hinze and Tanna Thiel ranked seventh and 10th, respectively. In swine evaluation, Weston Hinze ranked fourth individually.
The team arrived at nationals by earning high team honors at the Texas 4-H State Livestock Judging Contest in June in College Station. By placing in the top three, the group qualifies to compete in Scotland at the Royal Highland Show in June 2022.
Accolades continue to follow the four team members, who are also on the Burton FFA Livestock Judging Team. With Burton, the four won the state title in April at the Texas State FFA Livestock Competition in Bryan, before being named Reserve National Champions in October at the National FFA Livestock Judging Contest in Indianapolis.
