OPEN HOUSE MONDAY IN BURTON FOR TAMU MOBILE CLINIC

  

The Burton community is invited today (Monday) to tour the new Texas A&M University School of Nursing’s mobile clinic.

An open house will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Burton ISD Administration Office.  The mobile clinic will be onsite for visitors to view and learn more about the services it provides.

The partnership between Burton ISD and Texas A&M was announced last summer and was made possible through the School of Nursing securing a $4 million grant for the next four years. 

Superintendent Dr. Edna Kennedy said at a school board meeting in August that the clinic will serve students and the public one day a week, with a goal of one day building a permanent facility.
