TWO ARRESTED IN BURLESON CO. AFTER DRUGS, STOLEN PROPERTY SEIZED
Two Somerville residents were arrested on Thursday after a multi-county operation stemming from an investigation into drug activity and stolen property.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office executed search and arrest warrants in the 12000 block of Park Road 57.
As a result, authorities recovered and seized 140 grams of methamphetamine, a handgun, United States currency, a stolen four-wheeler from Brazos County and a stolen generator from Bell County.
52-year-old James Edwin Hood Jr. was arrested on two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Theft of Property and one charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
43-year-old Rebecca Sue Jaap faces two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance and one charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Assisting in the operation were the Caldwell and Somerville Police Departments, Texas Rangers, and K-9 units from the College Station Police Department and Robertson County Sheriff’s Office.
