CITY OF BRENHAM TO CELEBRATE SMALL BUSINESS MONTH WITH PROCLAMATION, FREE COMMUNITY EVENTS
The City of Brenham and community partners are recognizing local businesses as part of Small Business Month.
Brenham Mayor Atwood Kenjura will officially proclaim the month of May as Small Business Month in the City of Brenham during this Thursday’s council meeting.
Throughout the month, a variety of free community events will be offered to support, celebrate, educate and connect local entrepreneurs and small business owners. Events will include networking opportunities, educational workshops, panel discussions, entrepreneur meet-ups, lunch-and-learns, and Small Business Development Center webinar watch parties.
Brenham | Washington County Economic Development Director Teresa Rosales calls small businesses “the backbone of our local economy”, saying they create jobs, invest in the community and “help make Brenham a vibrant place to live and work.” She says, “Small Business Month is an opportunity to recognize their contributions while also providing valuable resources for current and future entrepreneurs.”
Most events are free, but some do require advance registration due to limited seating. For more details, including a full event calendar and registration links, visit the Brenham | Washington County Economic Development website at www.brenhamed.com.
