CONSTRUCTION AT FROST BANK TOPS BRENHAM BUILDING PERMITS FOR JULY

  

Construction of a new bank in Brenham was the top item on the City of Brenham’s building permits report for the month of July.

A $7,831,737 permit was granted to Frost Bank for the building of its new Brenham location at 862 Highway 290 East, in the Brenham Crossing shopping center.  Work is contracted to Spawglass.

Officials broke ground at the site of the bank in June.  The bank is expected to open in 2027.

Also of note in July’s building permits was the work being done by Arete Property Group, constructing 8-unit and 5-unit apartment buildings at 1307 North Park Street.  The permit was issued for $1.8 million.

Redeemer Church Brenham took out a $1.05 million permit to perform the first and second phase of parking lot improvements at its location at 2111 South Blue Bell Road.  Grace Community Fellowship received a $1 million permit for paving and drainage improvements at 107 South Saeger Street.

Five new homes were permitted in July for $826,210.  So far this year, 70 new home permits have been granted for $12,038,063.

In total, the city issued 23 permits last month worth $13,920,414.  In July of last year, the city tallied $1,367,705 on 20 permits.

Through the year to date, the city has issued 218 permits for $111,380,364.  Last year at this time, the city had issued 320 permits for $59,733,874.
