WASHINGTON CO. FAIR BEGINS LIVESTOCK JUDGING WEDNESDAY
Livestock judging opens today (Wednesday) at the 155th Washington County Fair.
Today’s schedule kicks off with the market rabbit, poultry and barrow shows and the commercial steer contest at 8 a.m., followed by broilers at 9 a.m., carcass hog awards and the steer show at noon, lambs at 3 p.m. and goats at 4:30 p.m.
Commercial exhibits, country creations and the country store all open at 10 a.m. The Heart of America Carnival opens at 6 p.m., and the Little and Junior Mister and Miss Contests will also begin at that time. Mutton bustin’ gets underway at 6:30 p.m., with bull buck-out at 7:30 p.m.
Tonight’s entertainment is Los Cazadores del Cerro at 8 p.m. and Los Igualados at 10 p.m.
KWHI and KTEX-106 will have live reports from the fair from 10 a.m. to noon and from 4 to 6 p.m.
Starting today through Saturday, KWHI and KTEX-106 will have the Wagon Wheel of Prizes at the fair. All spins of the wheel will raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County.
