TEXAS BIRTHDAY BASH BEING HELD THIS WEEKEND
The City of Navasota is getting ready for the 12th annual Texas Birthday Bash Celebration that is taking place this weekend.
The event runs tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday on the grounds of the Navasota City Hall. Tickets are available at www.texasbirthdaybash.com. Pre-event tickets are still available today (Thursday) with a cost of $25 for a 1-Day Pass, or $50 for a 2-Day pass. Starting tomorrow (Friday), they go up to $30 for a 1-Day Pass, or $60 for a 2-Day pass. Children under 12 get in for free.
While there will be limited parking downtown, attendees can park for free at Navasota High School, and there will be shuttle buses running beginning tomorrow (Friday) at 4:30pm, and Saturday at 11:30am. The buses will keep going until one hour after the headliner’s performance each night.
Also, no outside food or beverages can be brought in, and no coolers will be allowed. Anyone wanting food or drinks can purchase them from one of the vendors at the Birthday Bash.
The festivities kick off tomorrow (Friday) evening with Brian Black from 5-6pm, followed by Grupo Solido from 6:30-8pm, and rounding out with La Energia Nortena from 8:30pm-10pm.
On Saturday, the entertainment begins with the six local competitors involved in the Inspirational Country Music Association’s upcoming “The Sound of Small Town America” TV singing contest starting at noon.
The singers will perform in ten-minute intervals in the order of Amanda Balderas, Macie Hanna, Tiona Campbell, Hannah Abraham, Chase Kimey, and Michelle Kay.
The remainder of the schedule includes Brandon Rhyder from 1:30-2:45pm, Bart Crow from 3:15-4:30pm, Coffey Anderson from 5-6pm, Kyle Park from 6:45-8pm, and Lonestar rounding out the night from 8:30-10pm.
