BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC ASSAULT
A Brenham man faces a family violence charge after his arrest by local police on Saturday.

Shortly after 9 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of South Chappell Hill Street in reference to a disturbance.
Police say their initial investigation revealed that 64-year-old Francisco Horacio Cantu Jr. allegedly assaulted his spouse by grabbing her neck.
Additionally, officers found narcotics and linked them to Cantu.
Cantu was placed under arrest for Assault of a Family or Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, Less than a Gram. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
