LADY PANTHERS WIN THREE ON DAY TWO OF RICE TOURNAMENT
The Burton Lady Panthers Volleyball Team continued to roll on Friday as they won three matches, all by sweeps, at the Rice Consolidated Tournament in Altair.
Burton defeated Flatonia 25-18 and 28-26. Lexi Broesche had nine kills and 10 digs. Adison Harmel dished out 25 digs and finished with 14 digs. Reagan Roemer added 11 digs.
The Lady Panthers swept Weimar 25-14 and 27-25. Amaya Williams led the team with nine kills. Harmel dished out another 15 assists. Lexi Broesche finished with 17 digs, and Roemer had 14 digs.
Burton also won the final match of the day against Sacred Heart 25-15 and 25-10. (Individual stats have not yet available.)
The Lady Panthers will now take part in the tournament's Gold Bracket this (Saturday) morning at 11am.
