CHAPPELL HILL VFD RESPONDS TUESDAY TO VEHICLE VERSUS DEER COLLISION

The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department was called out early Tuesday morning to a collision between a pickup truck and a deer.

Shortly after 3:45 a.m., volunteers were dispatched to the area of Highway 290 East and Bluebonnet Boulevard for a crash without entrapment.

Units arrived on scene and found a truck in the center median that had struck a deer trying to cross the road, damaging the front end of the truck and deploying the air bags.

Firefighters found no fluids were leaking.  They provided traffic control for all responders on scene until they were released by DPS.
