CUBETTE VOLLEYBALL TO HOST “DIG PINK NIGHT” NEXT TUESDAY

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team is getting ready to host their 20th Annual “Dig Pink Night” next Tuesday, October 8.

“Dig Pink Night” is held every year during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Proceeds from the event go to benefit the Side Out Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for research and treatment of breast cancer.

Last year’s “Dig Pink Night” raised a record $9,135.

The Cubettes are scheduled to take on College Station High School in a district matchup. The JV and the Freshman Green Team will play at 5pm, with the Varsity and the Freshman White Team playing at 6pm.

Dan Jurden and I have the call of the action for the Varsity game on KWHI 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com beginning with the pregame at 5:45pm.

There will be a bucket drawing from 5-8pm in the Brenham High School Foyer. If you would like to donate an item to the drawing, please send an e-mail to bhsvolleyball@brenhamk-12.net.

They are also having “Kendra Scott Pop Up for Cause” from 4:30-6:30pm in the Foyer. 20% of all pop up and on-line purchases will be donated to the Side Out Foundation.

In addition to that, the Cubettes are selling “Brenham Strong” Pink T-Shirts for $15 each.  They are available for purchase at home volleyball games, or by contacting a Brenham Cubette Volleyball player.
