CUBS REMAIN UNBEATEN IN DISTRICT WITH A 63-48 WIN OVER COLLEGE STATION
The incredible run for the Brenham Cub Basketball Team continued on Tuesday night as they picked up a 63-48 road win over the College Station Cougars.
The Cubs got off to a fast start, and led the game 19-12 after the first quarter. They also outscored the Cougars 14-10 in the second quarter to take a 33-22 lead at the halfway mark.
College Station came back to outscore Brenham 17-14 in the third quarter to cut the lead down to 47-39., However, the Cubs put the game away in the fourth quarter with a 16-9 run to claim the victory.
Issac Powell led Brenham with 21 points. JaKobe Mathis added 19 points.
The Cubs are now 20-7 on the season, and 6-0 in district.
Brenham is off on Friday for the bye. They will be back in action next Tuesday at home against Montgomery at 6:30pm (6:15pm pregame on KWHI).
