THEFT, CRIMINAL TRESPASSING AMONG CHARGES FOR FIVE ARRESTED BY BRENHAM PD OVER WEEKEND
Brenham police made five arrests between Friday night and Sunday night on several different charges.
Just shy of midnight, officers responded to the 900 block of West Stone Street for a report of shots fired. While searching the area that included Jackson Street Park, officers observed 33-year-old Samantha Rochelle Phoenix of Brenham near Mansfield Street. It was discovered that Phoenix had three active warrants out of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for two counts of Harassment of a Public Servant and Theft of Property Less than $2,500 with Two or More Previous Convictions. Phoenix was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Corporal Grayson Marburger responded to the 300 block of West Chauncy Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon further investigation, it was found that the male subject on location, identified as 34-year-old Bracken Bowen of Brenham, showed to have an active warrant out for his arrest. Bowen was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for the warrant of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Shortly after 8 a.m., officers responded to the 800 block of Hosea Street for a report of a verbal disturbance. Investigation revealed a subject, 29-year-old Tracy Nicole Moore Jr. of Brenham, showed to have an active criminal trespass warning for the location. Moore was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in for Criminal Trespass.
Approaching 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Officer Brayten Rolling was patrolling the area of South Blue Bell Road and Old Chappell Hill Road when he observed a white 2008 Dodge Charger run the red stoplight at the intersection. Officer Rolling made contact with the driver, who was identified as 39-year-old Rosario DelCarmen Vasquez of Brenham. Initial investigation revealed that Vasquez had an active warrant out of Brenham Municipal Court for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility. Vasquez was placed into custody and cited for four violations before being taken to the Washington County Jail without incident.
At 11 p.m., Sergeant Crystal Buckner conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle said to be driving recklessly in the 700 block of Highway 36 North. After further investigation, the driver, 31-year-old Shannon Bonita Smothers of Killeen, was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced, as well as an active warrant out of Washington County for No Liability Insurance.
