ST. JOHN AME CHURCH DONATES TO FAITH MISSION

The Brenham Young People’s Department of St. John AME Church recently got the chance to help Faith Mission provide assistance to the hungry of Washington County.

The church collected 605 pounds of food, and $150 in monetary donations to present to the non-profit organization to be used for their Food Pantry.

St. John AME Lay President Lee Taylor said that Faith Mission is an extension of their church, and that by feeding the hungry, they are fulfilling the Gospel.

Taylor pointed out that many members of the community benefit from Faith Mission’s food pantry, which is open every Thursday.
