WASHINGTON CO. APPRAISAL DISTRICT BOARD ADOPTS 2025-26 BUDGET

  

The Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors adopted the budget for the 2025-26 Fiscal Year at its meeting on Tuesday.

The budget of $1,903,610 is up $215,635 from the previously adopted budget.  The increase consists of an extra $153,000 in personnel costs, $55,735 in professional and contracted services, and $6,900 in other operating costs.

No one attended a public hearing held prior to the vote on the budget.  Two budget workshops were held before Tuesday’s meeting, on February 25th and March 25th.

  1. Ok. $153,000 in personal up tic and only $55,735 in contract and perfessional services. Maybe this is why our schools are failing apart. Seams to me like money in the pockets are better spent. And I bet our taxes going up way more than what they are going to spend. How about the part where our governor ran on getting rid of property taxes? I guess they all lie to get into office then crawfish for what they say they going to do. Texas is almost as rich as California in their bank. Over 2 trillion. And we suffer the consequences
