CIERA HARRIS NAMED BRENHAM HERITAGE MUSEUM’S INTERIM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Brenham Heritage Museum has a new interim executive director.
In a message posted to social media, Ciera Harris announced she has been promoted from deputy director of the museum to interim executive director. The promotion became effective on Thursday.
Harris said it has been “an incredible experience to contribute to our mission of preserving and sharing the rich history of Brenham and Washington County.” She said she is grateful to the museum’s board of directors for trusting and supporting her in this new role.
Harris has been involved with the museum since October 2023, first working as an administrative assistant and program coordinator. She had served as deputy director since January.
Prior to Harris, the executive director position had belonged to David Thomas, who left the role earlier this year. The museum said it could not comment on the reason for his departure.
