BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, FAILING TO MAINTAIN FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  

Brenham police booked four people into jail over the weekend.

At 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Officer Trinten Rolling and Corporal Alex Saenz conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Highway 290 West.  Police say their investigation revealed that a backseat passenger, identified as 22-year-old William Roe of Austin, was in possession of marijuana.  Roe was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.

Just past 7:30 p.m., Sergeant Tiffany Anderson assisted Officer Ronnie Jackson and Officer Ramon Torres on a complaint located in the 200 block of Highway 290 West.  During investigation of the complaint, a probable cause search was conducted of the suspects’ vehicle.  27-year-old Damarcus Ross of Orange and 37-year-old Elroy Tompkins Jr. of Houston were both transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.

Coming up on 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Officer Jackson initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of South Day Street for a vehicle infraction.  Police learned that the driver, 25-year-old Luther Washington of Washington, had an active warrant out of Washington County for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.  He was also cited for Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility and Display/Expired Registration.
