LEXINGTON FOOTBALL PLAYER HOSPITALIZED DURING GAME WITH CALDWELL
Friday night’s game between Caldwell and Lexington ended in a no-contest after one of the players had to be taken to the hospital.
With the game tied 28-28 in the third quarter, Lexington RB Jurian Moore was injured on a blow to the head while carrying the ball near the goal line.
Reports say he got up, but then immediately collapsed. The other players called for medical attention.
An ambulance arrived first, and then he was later flown by EMS helicopter to Dell Seton Children’s Medical Center in Austin.
After a lengthy delay, the two coaches made the decision to call off the rest of the game.
