BURLESON COUNTY FAIR BRINGS IN RECORD SALES
The 2025 Burleson County Fair set a new overall sales record by crossing over $3 million for the first time in their history.
According to organizers, the final total came out to $3,381,450. That total was over $1 million higher than last year’s total of $2,312,271.20.
The Burleson County Youth Livestock Auction set a new record with $1,793,900 in sales. The previous record was in 2023 with $1,382,900. Last year’s sale brought in $1,146,121.20.
Hunter Novosad had the Grand Champion Market Steer that sold for $53,000. He is the son of Cody and Tammie Novosad, and was representing the Caldwell FFA.
Kameryn Hill had the Reserve Champion Market Steer that sold for $16,000. She is the daughter of Josh and Elizabeth Hill, and was representing the Deanville 4-H Club.
The Commercial Heifer Sale also surpassed their previous record with $1,547,400 in sales. The previous record was set in 2015 with $1,153,000 in sales. Last year’s sales total finished at $1,113,900
The only category that was down from the previous year was the baked food sale, which took in $40,150. That amount was behind last year’s total of $52,250.
