SOLICITATION OF A MINOR, ASSAULT AMONG CHARGES IN SIX WEEKEND ARRESTS BY BRENHAM POLICE

  

Brenham police reported six arrests over the weekend on charges including assault and online solicitation of a minor.

Lonnie Carvelle Green
(Washington Co. Jail)

Shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Officer Eric Crosby conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of South Blue Bell Road for a vehicle violation.  The driver, 45-year-old Lonnie Green of Hempstead, was taken into custody for Driving While License Invalid and transported to the Washington County Jail.

At 8:15 p.m., Sergeant Jose Perez conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of North Park Street.  Police say a probable cause search revealed that the passenger was in possession of marijuana.  18-year-old Jamarie Moore of Brenham was placed into custody for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and taken to the Washington County Jail for booking.

Talea Latrice Burns

On Sunday, just before 12:15 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a disturbance.  Upon arrival, police say they determined that 19-year-old Talea Burns of Brenham was the primary aggressor.  Burns was placed into custody for Assault Family Violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

A few minutes past 3 p.m., Officer Crosby conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation in the 1300 block of Highway 290 West.  After a probable cause search, the driver, 19-year-old Khalil Battle of Killeen, was taken into custody and booked at the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams.  He was also issued a citation for Minor in Possession of Tobacco.

Around 7:15 p.m., Officer Brayten Rolling responded to a call for service in reference to a complainant located in the 1200 block of Higgins Street.  Police say their investigation revealed that 33-year-old Sanel Bulic of Magnolia had allegedly been exchanging sexually explicit photographs with an underage female.  With the assistance of the Brenham Police Criminal Investigations Division, Bulic was later placed in custody for Online Solicitation of a Minor and booked at the Washington County Jail without incident.

Approaching 9:30 p.m., Officer Zachary Heinecke responded to a report of a disturbance near the 1700 block of Robinson Drive.  Upon further investigation, police learned that an aggressor assaulted a victim, causing her to bleed from her nose.  The suspect, 42-year-old Jeremiah Dean of Brenham, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail for Assault Family Violence with Previous Convictions.
