BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO HOLD FIRST 2026 MEETING ON MONDAY
The Burton School Board will have their first meeting of 2026 this Monday night.
There is scheduled to be a presentation regarding January being School Board Appreciation Month.
Board members are also scheduled to hear the district’s financial reports, an enrollment report, and a report on Campus and District activities.
Superintendent Vikki Curry will give an update on the ongoing construction project with Weaver and Jacobs Constructors.
In regular session, the board is scheduled to approve the Audit Report for the 2024-2025 school year.
They are then scheduled to go into executive session to consult with their attorney regarding the litigation in the 21st District Court case of Burton ISD vs. DSA Incorporated and Circle H Dirt Work and Excavation.
Following the executive session, board members will discuss personnel issues including hirings, retirements, reassignments, and resignations.
The Burton School Board meets on Monday at 6pm in the Burton ISD Cafeteria at 917 North Main Street.
The public is welcome to attend.
