The Junior Coronation ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Fireman’s Park.  Queen Kate Elizabeth Flisowski and King Travis Michael Hopkins will reign over the court of “Safari: A Journey into the Wild!”

The day begins with the Maifest parade through downtown Brenham at 10:30 a.m.  The route will ride down Main and Alamo Streets.  Staging will occur along Main Street, from Market Street to Chappell Hill Street; on Market Street, from Main Street to Commerce Street; on Ross Street, from Main Street to Alamo Street; and on Clinton Street, from Main Street to Alamo Street.  Floats will unload participants on Alamo Street and return to Main Street for additional participants by Ross Street.

Streets will be blocked between 8 a.m. and noon.  Parade traffic will be heavy, so travelers are asked to plan accordingly.

KWHI will have a live broadcast starting at 10:05 a.m. and a Facebook livestream, sponsored by Tres Chic Boutique.

Following the parade, the grounds at Fireman’s Park will open for carnival games and rides, beer tasting, and music and dancing.

Live performers will be Das Ist Lustig from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Alli and the Polka Dots from 2 to 5 p.m., Isaak Klaus and the Lederhosen Junkies from 5 to 8 p.m., and 90 Proof Country from 9 p.m. to midnight.
