Washington County Commissioners recognized those serving in law enforcement with a proclamation today (Tuesday), declaring the month of October as Law Enforcement Appreciation Month.

The proclamation, read by County Judge John Durrenberger, honors the men and women in the sheriff’s office, constable’s offices, municipal law enforcement agencies, and other local, state and commissioned law enforcement agencies that serve Washington County.

Joining the commissioners court for the proclamation were Sheriff Trey Holleway, Precinct 1 Constable Ken Holle, Precinct 2 Constable Seth Klehm and Precinct 3 Constable Brad Kuecker.

The proclamation was part of a brief meeting, with few other non-routine items to consider.

Commissioners approved placing Ridgewood Farms Way (0.471 miles), Hillwood Trail (0.11 miles) and Majestic Oak View (0.161 miles), located in section two of the Ridgewood Farms subdivision in Precinct 4, into a one-year maintenance period and reducing the bond to 50 percent.

The court also discussed formal notices from AT&T Communications for new fiber installation along the county right-of-way of Baranowski Road in Precinct 4 and Mustang Road, Rhapsody Road, East Cheri Drive and Daisy Drive in Precinct 2.  No action was necessary.
