FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO BRENHAM OAK APARTMENT

  

 

Yesterday (Friday) evening at almost 7pm the Brenham Fire Department responded to 2475 S Chappell Hill St, Brenham Oak Apartment for a report of smoke in an apartment.

Fire Department units arrived and found light smoke coming from a second story apartment. Once entered into the apartment it was found that the occupant had left a pot of grease unattended on the stove.

The occupant had used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out before FD arrived. Firefighters used fans to clear the apartment of smoke. No one was hurt and damage was to the kitchen cabinets and the area around the stove.
