THINK PINK THURSDAY SET FOR OCTOBER 27TH
The County Commissioners have declared October 27th as “Think Pink Thursday” in Washington County.
The Bosom Buddies, a breast cancer support group in Washington County, encourages community members to wear pink during the on October 27th to promote breast cancer awareness. There are 25 women in the Bosom Buddies organization that represent more than 350 years of survivorship from breast cancer. The “Think Pink” day is scheduled every year in October as the month is nationally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Bosom Buddies is also taking butter braid orders for the holidays. All orders are due by October 31st. All money raised by Bosom Buddies goes to helping in the fight against breast cancer.
There are a variety of flavors are available including cherry and four-cheese-herb. The cost is $14 and delivery will be on November 15th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. To place an order, call 836-1413.
