GOLF BALL DROP HAPPENING IN NAVASOTA

  

Golf balls will be dropping from the sky in Navasota during this year’s 11th Annual Bob Whitten Memorial Golf Tournament.

The tournament, hosted by the Navasota Chamber of Commerce, will feature a “Golf Ball Drop” half-way through the event. Community members are invited to purchase a numbered golf ball and enter it in the contest.

After the first 9 holes, 600 golf balls will be simultaneously dropped from the sky over a predetermined target. If your numbered golf ball is closest to the target, you will win $1,000. This contest is limited to 600 golf balls, so the Chamber urges members of the community to enter soon by visiting the Navasota Chamber of Commerce website.

This will be the first time the golf tournament is held at night. It will take place on October 13th at Pecan Lakes Golf Club in Navasota. To sign up in the tournament, call 936-825-6600.
